About Intuitive Table
“I feel good!” When I hear someone say this, I often wonder if they know what it really means to feel good. How many of us can say that we don’t often feel bloated, achy, tired, or irritable? At one time, I too thought that how I was feeling was “good” because it was all I knew. It wasn’t until I became faced with one medical issue after another, that I knew I needed to make some changes. This is how my journey began. A beautiful fate that has blossomed into a devotion to health, wellness, and lifelong learning.
My belief is that there are several steps to cleansing the body and mind, but most importantly through the food we eat. I am not referring to the standard food that many of us grew up eating, but “real” food. As the body is cleansed and provided with the sustenance that it needs, the more it begins to speak in ways that may have gone unnoticed before. This voice, my friends, is intuition…and it is more powerful than you could ever imagine.
I don’t advocate one particular diet but rather focus on organic, local, and seasonal produce, beans, grains, nuts and seeds. Most of my recipes tend to be plant-based, and free of gluten and refined sugars. This way of eating is not only what sustains our family, but also the environment that we live in. My goal is to share the knowledge that has enriched my life with those around me, in hopes that they too can experience a better quality of life.
I live in the beautiful coastal city of Sarasota, Florida with my husband, Curtis and son, Cade. I feel it is not my duty, but a privilege, to feed and nurture my family in the best way that I know how. Intuitive Table is a journal of not only what we eat at our table, but also what we read, study, learn, and teach at our “table”.
